RUTLEDGE FILES FOR RE-ELECTION AS LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
LITTLE ROCK – Today, Lieutenant Governor Leslie Rutledge formally filed her paperwork with the Secretary of State to seek re-election as Arkansas’s Lieutenant Governor.
"It’s an incredible honor to serve as Lieutenant Governor and I’m officially filing for re-election to continue fighting for our conservative values,” said Rutledge. “Working alongside Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the state legislature, we have delivered historic results for hardworking Arkansans, cutting taxes, empowering families with education freedom, and standing strong for the next generation."
Before being elected Arkansas’s first female Lieutenant Governor in 2022, Rutledge made history as the state’s first female and first Republican Attorney General. Together, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Lt. Governor Leslie Rutledge is the first independently-elected female Governor and female Lieutenant Governor to serve together in the history of the United States.
Rutledge enters the 2026 race with strong grassroots support and over three quarters of a million dollars cash-on-hand. Rutledge begins the race with strong momentum, unmatched experience, and a record of getting results for Arkansas.
The Arkansas Primary Election will be held on March 3, 2026.
